ASSOCIATED BUILDERS AND CONTRACTORS’ (ABC’s) MARYLAND CHAPTERS ENDORSE GOVERNOR LARRY HOGAN
Maryland’s Largest Construction Association Endorses Governor Hogan
ABC announced that the four Maryland Chapters; Baltimore Metro, Chesapeake Shores, Cumberland Valley and Metro Washington endorse the re-election of Governor Larry Hogan for a second term.
Collectively, the four Maryland ABC Chapters represent more than 1,400 companies throughout the state engaged in the construction industry.
“Governor Hogan’s pro-growth business policies have been instrumental in moving Maryland forward these past four years,” said Debbie Livingston, President & CEO of the Metro Washington Chapter. “Associated Builders and Contractors knows we cannot afford to turn back now, and we’re proud to endorse Maryland’s Governor, Larry Hogan, for reelection. We look forward to working with Governor Hogan over the next four years to continue making progress on the issues that are important to our members. We are especially appreciative of his support of the merit construction industry’s principles of free and open competition.”
During his first term, Governor Hogan successfully enacted pro-growth, pro-business policies that have boosted Maryland’s economy, resulting in an increase in jobs, expansion of the tax base, and a reduction in fees and regulations that made it difficult for businesses to successfully operate in the State. We also support the Governor’s ongoing commitment to job training and workforce development initiatives, which will prepare Maryland residents for career opportunities in the construction industry.
In receiving the ABC endorsement, Governor Hogan stated, “I am honored to receive the endorsement from the Maryland Chapters of Associated Builders and Contractors. This is an organization that is committed to growing Maryland businesses, creating jobs, and developing a skilled workforce through their apprenticeship programs. These are issues I’ve spent the last four years focused on and I am eager to continue working with ABC in my second term as Governor.”
Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national construction industry trade
association established in 1950 that represents more than 21,000 Chapter
company members. Founded on the merit shop philosophy, ABC and its 70 chapters help members win work and deliver that work safely, ethically and profitably for the betterment of the communities in which ABC and its members work. For more information, visit the chapter websites.
