Leadership ABC provides a focused track towards leadership within your company and opportunities within ABC Chesapeake Shores (ABCCS).  This 12-month program is geared toward young leaders under 40 within the association. Each applicant possesses the dedication and desire to take the next step in excelling at their career and promoting the merit shop construction industry. 

Participants of this program are those who would like to:
    · Learn more about ABCCS as well as increase their involvement in the association
    · Further their leadership skills and professional development
    · Demonstrate their desire and ability to serve as a leader of our industry

Each individual will work towards earning points through a six-part framework that includes, but is not limited to, informative sessions, a national symposium, a community service project, and ABCCS general membership events. Each candidate who has successfully earned a specified number of points over the course of 2019 will receive a certificate of completion.

I was born in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in Federalsburg, Maryland. I have worked for Lywood Electric for 12 years and in my spare time I enjoy working on cars and riding quads.
      Whitney Breitschwerdt, Business Development Manager
FTC Aggregate Supply, LLC

Whitney Breitschwerdt is the Business Development Manager of FTC Aggregate Supply, LLC.  Prior to joining FTC Whitney had over 15 years of experience in the contracting and real estate industries.  She earned an Associate’s degree in Business Administration from Anne Arundel Community College and a Bachelor’s degree from University of Baltimore.  Outside of work Whitney enjoys cooking, working out, and boating.

I am originally from a small town called Emmitsburg, Maryland and attended Marymount University in Arlington, VA with a BA in Interior Design. After college, I went into Construction approximately 2 ½ years ago and currently living in Arlington, VA. My hobbies: Cooking, Working Out, Painting, and going to hockey games. My favorite sports team is the Washington Capitals.

Just finished my first year at Reliable Contracting working in the Estimating Department. Prior to Reliable I worked at Chaney Enterprises for almost four years in various departments such as Operations, Customer Service, and Land/Development. I received my MBA in 2014 from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland and my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 2012 from the University of Arkansas.

I’m a 28-year-old Project Superintendent, Father, and Husband. Easton High School Class 09’ and Washington College Class 13’. I graduated with a bachelor’s in business management and had no idea what career path I wanted to pursue. I was looking for anything full time to pay the rent and bills, I landed my first job as an Assistant Project Manager at Mallard Construction (Chester, MD). A year later I joined Willow Construction, and quickly this “job” became a career. I was hired as an Assistant Superintendent, but after a week of employment I was cut loose running my own project.  Almost 6 years later, I have managed over $30 Million in various projects across the Eastern Shore. Everything ranging from commercial, municipality, health care construction, multi-family residential. Currently, I’m building a 30,000 SF Medical Cannabis Cultivation Center. It is a proprietary nation model for a corporate medical cannabis firm that intends to build facilities all over the country as legislation allows.

I’m a family man born and raised around Annapolis, Maryland. I grew up competing in a variety of sports such as, baseball, track, and basketball. My hobbies have become more casual throughout the years and now include fishing, camping, concert shows, and the occasional cruise ship vacation. Music is one of the loves of my life and Ilisten to anything from Skynyrd to Marshmello. I’m also a professional napper! I came into the construction industry at 19 years old with a shovel in my hands and so many opportunities have since presented themselves. On the brink of 26 years of age, I’m clawing my way towards furthering and expanding my career.

Born and raised in Venezuela, I moved to Colorado in 2013 to complete a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Colorado, Boulder. I have worked in a variety of sectors, including bio-mechanics research, residential construction, and the automotive industry. I have a passion for anything that goes fast, having raced motocross at the age of 5, racing go-karts professionally as a 12-year-old, and racing downhill mountain bikes for the last 8 years.
      Pete Murray, Regional Sales Manager

I was raised in Fort Wayne, IN before moving to NOVA in 97,’ where the high school was so new that I was apart if it’s first graduating class in 99.’ After receiving my associate degree in Graphic Design from Northern Virginia Community College, I returned to the Hoosier State to attend Indiana University Bloomington, where I double-majored in Telecommunications; Production & Design and Communication & Culture; Film & Theory. I returned to NOVA to begin working for Apple Computers but was then relocated several times to cities like Chicago, Sydney, AU, and San Francisco, to help train teams how to support customers on Apple software and hardware. I after 12 years with Apple I found my way to a small construction software startup called PlanGrid. I instantly fell in love with both the product, the company and most of all, the construction industry and the people work within it. I see myself working within the construction industry, within some capacity, for the foreseeable future.

I am the youngest brother of two and was born in southern Virginia. I moved nine times across the United States & Japan before settling in DC to study Civil Engineering at The Catholic University of America. Two years ago, I joined the construction industry at Coakley & Williams Construction.

Rommel Construction

As a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Coordinator, I am able to leverage technology to work on projects in both the Mechanical and Electrical Divisions. Using 3D modeling, I am able to explore, learn and execute new pre-visualization techniques that help design a project prior to construction. Upon completion of the HVAC-R Apprentice program through ABC, I have made it a personal goal to remain involved within the organization in order to help promote the merit shop philosophy surrounding the industry. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my wife and 2 young children- Silas and Sloane.
